FilaFab Additive Manufacturing in Material Science

Wood dust was mixed in the hopper with PLA pellets to produce a true wood PLA filament.  A variety of mixes and wood types were tried yielding great results.

Nylon 66 and metal fillings were pre-compounded into pellets.  The filament extruded was heavy and so needed extra support before winding.  This was easily achieved by adding extra support columns to the FilaFab peripheral rail.

Batch production saves vast. From the economical to valuable many filament can be produced. Pellets can be bought in 25kg bags to tonne gaylord bags or more. Converted to filament when required.
